How it all began

In 2008 the principal for Savant Advisory Inc. left a successful career with a large organization where he spent 12 years learning, growing and excelling.

"The time had come." he said. "You can get very comfortable in a position and time has a way of getting away on you. Stepping out on your own is an extremely uncomfortable process - but it can be very rewarding as well."

With that, Mr. Blais searched for a name that he thought would exemplify the kind of work that he wanted to undertake in the IT Security space. While visiting with a friend out of town he came up with the name Savant, which means:

"A person who knows a lot about a particular subject".

It was also helpful that the domain name savantadvisory.com was available as well. The company name was registered and before long Savant Advisory Inc. had it's first customer. That same customer extended Savant's original contract two more times. A very good sign indeed.

Today Savant Advisory continues to provide Strategic IT Consulting Services to a wide range of customers.
